Too restrictive expectations

Dear Admin,
Dear Danubius,

You know what makes me the most upset ... It is that lot of members from the clubs (25, 50 and 100 stamps) are too restrictive ...
They only want this or that .. AND if you don't provide what they ask, because you just haven't got that ... well then they are not satisfied and give you a bad quotation, even if the stamps you did select and sent are nice !

I agree if people don't want Cinderella's, CTO's .. prefer even some countries, BUT only want what they put on their profile, well then I think they are not in the right place for that !

Kind regards,
Paul

I totally agree with the latter. Some people are so picky that they demand instead of enjoying the process of receiving. And then they give you a bad rating.
Anne-lies is one example. Her profile is anti social and she expects high standard but then complain when people do not register what she had sent

They stand personal requirements above the club's rules and reduce your rating only because they did not receive EXTRAORDINARY something ACCORDING THEIR ORDERS: meet
Anne-lies (29.06.21) 3 to 4 stars for my lot https://50stamps.club/stamps/KZ-17 and
denis55 (same date) 4 stars for 52 stamps of https://50stamps.club/stamps/KZ-16

I couldn't agree more. Profiles may provide preferences, not demands. Not meeting a profile should not result in bad ratings. Especially for new members this can be very discouraging, resulting in losing members. That cannot be the goal of these clubs!
Personally, I like spending time assorting stamps to send around the globe. Today, I spent 5 hours to prepare 4 envelopes (franking is part of that actually).
A bit disappointing when your efforts result in bad ratings because someone does not like the content.
From another angle, I think the rating system is not really clear. I mean, what means 'neutral' (3 stars)? Where did one go wrong then? And when degrades a 5-star to 4-star? Damaged stamps? CTO's? Mint? How many? And when the 1 or 2 stars with consequences? Can't be at the receivers grace?

Today I get 4 stars from a Netherlands-Woman. She told me the reason: she didn’t collect the county I sent her. She didn’t tell that in her profile only that she doesn’t want to have the stamps „that everybody already have“. Why does she random swaps???

I would also like to add my experience: I sent about 50 (53 with IT-66) stamps. I chose to send about 20 Italian stamps from the castles series, and others from other states. My partner assigned to me the score 2 with the motivation: "To many definitives". It is possible and it is still a very subjective evaluation. The shipment respected the rules exactly. Are not they useful for your collection? Assign 3 or 4. I am not a stamp dealer and I have no obligation to send useful stamps for your collection.

I agree. Just had feed back that the recipient wanted late US stamps, but I sent GB (which is all I had at the time). They were good stamps, but only 3 stars.

hello :)
maybe it could be two solutions:
1.- not to allow such preferences, this is -I understand at least like this- a friendly club, so, nobody should go around only asking stamps from Australia and Germany from 2019 and 2020. Basically, I dont have these stamps problably. For those exigent partners, I recomend to go to an auction of stamps, where they will find many of those things.

2.- to create a "premium" service (payment included with a yearly fee) with some differences among premium and free clients

This is a hobby taking some of your time Danubius, and we all are taking benefit on it, therefore, we all should reward you. I think most of members will agree with me.

I understand your point. The rules are simple. The preferences about themes, years, countries are just preferences. They are optional.

Its a random partners assigned system. There can not be demands, only preferences. Simply because its a random system. Demands can only be in a direct swap.

Maybe when you receive such a profile, you can contact that member and remand them of the rules.

I did contact some members that had such profiles. Some changed their profiles.
I will try to contact such members in the future but its difficult to read each profile after each update.

I'm sure that most of them will review their profile after one or a few members will tell them that they can not send what they want.
